It’s really excellent, I use it for years now. I apply it over my foundation or, if I’m tanned, just here and there to enhance. It was my first make-up in powder, now I’m 38, and is the only one I ever used!

Also, a little goes a loooong way.

I used Indian Earth in the seventies for the longest time then I couldn’t find it for years and and when I came across it on Amazon I was thrilled. Most blushes have pink tones to them which just doesn’t work with my skin type. This looks very natural when applied lightly. I apply it with the brush and if I get to much I smooth it out with the Applicator. You can also use it on your skin to for a tanner look when needed. I have shared my experances with Indian Earth with several thankful friends. S. Rosa

I am fair complected, the product description stated “great for all skin types” ….. not true! It is so dark there is no way I could apply it and look natural. I threw it away!!

I originally discovered this stuff in College — back in the 80s (showing my age here) and it was the coolest thing ever. I would put a little on and it would even out my skin tone and my boyfriend at the time thought I had gotten a tan. My skin was (and is) prone to acne and this powder never caused problems. The thing I really like about it is that it is so much easier (read … FASTER) to apply than liquid foundation. I prefer to use a brush instead of the puff because it provides me with more control.

You have to get used to using this stuff — it is easy to get too much on… in which case, it will not look natural with the rest of your skin tone. It is like adding spices to your cooking. You start with a little and if you don’t like it, you can always add more.

Also, the key is to wait a minute or so before adding more. It truly does change color (often deepens) as it combines with the oils on your face. So put a very light dusting on, then start working on your eyeshadow to give it time to “set”. If you still feel like you need a little more, then you can go with a second dusting.

For very light skin tones, (i’m fair to medium), I understand they have different shades now which might work better — especially in the winter when it looks kind of wierd to have that “sun-kissed” look.

BTW, it really does work great as a natural fingernail color. you apply to your finger nails with a brush and then apply clear polish.
